Assalamualaikum wbt
7th of March 2013
Mark an important date for us, students of Food Service Management.
Malacca Baba&Nyonya Cuisine Heritage Luncheon
Our first restaurant management practical - we are required to set up a fine dining menu, promote it, produce it, present and serve it on the day of the service.
Appetizer:
Main Course:
Dessert:
So these are the menus that were served to the customers on the day of service.
We're given a very limited time to promote and to get at least 60 customers as what has been targeted by our lecturer. Few hours before the restaurant was opened, only 12 reservations are made-- a definite frustration, but in the middle of the service, more and more people came, and Alhamdulillah, we managed to get a total of 59 guests for our first luncheon. Well, almost 60, but that is fine :)
I'd truly had a good time with my coursemates. Hehee
Exhausting, but every bits are worth it--- for the experiences, the memories, and the friendships.
Everyone has put on their best effort to make things work out finely.
And finally, this...
Got some other friends who came by and support to, but I was so busy in the kitchen that I had no time to meet them. Anyway, thank you so so much!I appreciate it very much :D
So next luncheon would be French Cuisine. Hopefully this will work out better. Amiin.
All the best!
