Extraordinary Ventures!

Assalamualaikum wbt

I'm in the middle of mid semester break and is looking forward for a met-up with Marina together with our siblings. "Sisters day out" perhaps? Hahah

Right after this one week short holiday, it is already the 10th week of the semester. And so then, I'll have only 4 weeks left before the final exam. Since the final exam is around the corner, as usual, students are loaded with lots and lots of assignments, no to forget, presentations all to be done within that 4 week time. Blerrgghh. -______________-

Anyway, last Wednesday marked the end of our Food Preparation Practical Class, or in simpler words that we always use ------- " Lab Kitchen". Well, we were supposed to have another class after the holiday before we ended it, but our lecturer decided to merge the last two classes into one. So right after this holiday is our 'hands-on' final exam where we will need to prepare dishes to be served to the guests, right from the Appetizer, Soup, Main Course, until Dessert.

Time flies so fast, we have finally reached the final class and yes, it sadden us a bit. Of all the classes, this is one of my favourite because we got the chance to cook and bring back all the dishes that we have prepared. MAKAN! Who doesn't love to eat? Heeee... but of course, you got to face the bitterness before you got to taste the sweetness. Reward after hardships. Cooking is so far....... EXHAUSTING. Seriously. It is fun, but very tiring. The class started around 9.15 am and usually ended about 6 hours later. But our last class took almost 9 hours before it ended and we reached our college at almost 6.30 pm, or more!!

From being a noob about cooking, and now... emm.. I'm not gonna say expert, hahah, but much better than the beginning of the semester. Besides the cooking techniques, we also had learnt some culinary terms in which most of it are originated from French words. Mise-en-place, batonnet cut, julienne, al dente, blanch, sautee and many more. :D

9 classes all together and this is the results :

Seeing all of the pictures above and I can't believe that we made all of it by ourselves. Heheh

But the best thing yet, the coursemates, especially my group members.
I don't regret taking this course. I learn a lot. If any circumstances come along the road of my journey here, I'll face it with strong heart. Insya Allah.
Alhamdulillah for all of these :)

Khilaf

Maaf, Maaf.
Itu khilaf saya.
Sesuatu yang saya sudah terlepas pandang.
Mengambil pandangan secara bulat.
Tanpa menyelidik dengan lebih mendalam.

Ampuni aku Ya Allah
